What's the best way for MSFS pilots to file vUAL PIREPs?

This is a gray area right now Kevin.
Our ACARS does not work with MS2020.
Pilots can file a manual PIREP, preferrably with a VATSIM link showing time spent online, but is not mandatory.
We are asking pilots to be "honest and accurate" with their PIREP details as best as they can.
Thanks!
Gary

Will our vUAL ACARS, or smartCARS, be updated for MSFS? Just a curious question. I am waiting for Aerosoft to release their CRJ plane and will be spending more time in MSFS once that happens, but will keep XP11 installed as a backup.

Hi Robert,
Our understanding is the new version of ACARS will be compatible with MS2020. We will be incorporating that new ACARS into the new site.

So earlier today I tested out flying the new Aerosoft CRj in MSFS with smartCARS. Once I had downloaded fsuipc from here
http://petedowson.info/ it seemed to work with MSFS. I had chosen a flight and set it up via smartCARS and the fsuipc desktop icon starts up MSFS, and once I clicked fly it was recording the flight. The only thing I was not able to try was to file a PIREP. The CRJ took some getting used to with the flight system so I over sped quite a few times so I didn't submit one. WIll try that this weekend. Hope this works for others!

Keep those updates coming, Robert...
I am about ready to make the jump to MSFS... just "hoping" that someone (Aerosoft or otherwise) will release a decent Embraer E175 and that's about all it would take for me to leap.

So far it seems to work. I flew KSMF-KLAX earlier with smartCARS and filed my first PIREP for MSFS. Hope this works for everyone else flying in MSFS

I too have flown the Aerosoft CRJ in MSFS. Aerosoft put a lot of effort in it as almost every switch in the cockpit works. The graphics are amazing. The Flight bag is very detailed with checklist and a way to load up passenger and cargo numbers for the calulations for the FMC. My only issue on my first flight and it was most likely something I did with the programming of the FMS is that I had an issue keeping the speed under 250 under 10,000 even though I was in speed and nav mode for the climb. One other issue that I noticed but by no means was something to worry about is that the plane followed the flight plan a little off center until it reach the next waypoint, than it was spot on. Other than that, it flew amazing. Watch the following video as this is a tutorial of a full flight in the CRJ.

I can't wait for them to come out with the A320 family

I haven't tried the smartcars for United Virtual Airlines yet, but it worked just fine in MSFS for an other VA I fly for
